Still reeling from Chavez at the Parkside Lounge last night.

Drummer fanboy factoid: I felt like a huge dweeb for staking out an ideal James Lo-watching spot the last time I saw Chavez in 2006… until I saw James Lo stake out an ideal Jim White-watching spot at a Nina Nastasia and Jim White show a couple years later.  There are very few things in life I enjoy more than watching an incredible drummer at work.
